In June 2014, Ridgeview Medical Center launched a major Electronic Health Record optimization initiative in our 109-bed acute-care hospital. To support our efforts, Ridgeview engaged Twin Cities EMR Consulting to train, enhance and standardize our use of Dragon 360 Enterprise speech recognition technology for physicians and providers.
Dr. Kaniewski and the Twin Cities EMR team invested time learning Ridgeview’s EHR documentation system components before go-live, and their knowledge strengthened our training and platform as they set up physicians for Dragon. Additionally, Dragon Version 12 has an impressive degree of inherent accuracy.
Twin Cities EMR individually engaged providers on their own time with one-on-one personalized training. This significantly benefited our optimization and, more important, rapidly achieved provider competency and proficiency using Dragon. Through these efforts, Ridgeview saw more than 1,500 documents created in the EHR in the first two weeks post go-live – exceeding our expectations for that timeframe.
The Twin Cities EMR team was accommodating, responsive, technically independent regarding support requirements, and well-versed in change management.
